Plus points:
+++ Horizontal distance measurement ("Smart Horizontal Mode", and therefore vertical distance measurements!) Seems quite accurate
+++ Direct gradiometric (360 degrees) is very precise (down to tenths of a degree, responsive)
++ Indirect tilt measurement affects relatively precise (eg for measuring roof pitches)
++ Optical viewfinder with 4x zoom (digital only, not optically
+ Measurements over long distances (roughly 100 meters) in daylight (sun) possible through optical viewfinder
+ Bright display easily readable even in bright light

Bad points:
--- Indirect Höhenmeßfunktion ("height Tracking") extremely inaccurate to uselessness
- Indirect Distanzmeßfunktion about Pythagoras inaccurate
- No mandrel, but only flap bed for measurements of angles (=> measurements from corners not possible)
- Tilt measurement only 2D, not 3D (=> gradiometric and all dependent (indirect) length measurements are only horizontally held device available => horizontal distance measurement of an angle between two walls impossible - as to accurately determine the diagonal distance of an area without previously been measured, marked and targeted measurement points)
- Combination of min / max measurement and horizontal measurement not possible (vertically and horizontally shortest route)
- Bluetooth and thus the advertised apps do not work or Disto is using mobile phone with normal Android coupled (4.2)
- For fairly precise indirect measurements even when purchasing the (expensive) Leica original Meßstativs (and of course even more so when you buy another tripod) the additional purchase of a likewise completely disproportionate expensive Leica "adapter" necessary (without this adapter is the Leica -Stativ unusable)
- No additional snap-in eyelet Disto D510 for accurate and stable attachment with the usual retractable locating pin on the / a tripod plate available
- Manual / Operating Instructions very lean and linguistically poor - are missing, for example detailed explanations, according to which mathematical formulas that indirectly measured distances are calculated for each function, the functions are explained primarily by pictures, partly coming text a bit too short ,.
- Operation of the device even in the simpler functions limited intuitively
- Manual input of values not possible with the functions for calculating distances
