I expected by many reviews already that the product my girlfriend, which is already over 10 years old, was probably of the new abweicht.Dies the case. I have both juxtaposed and compares what it's worth. Here is my list of pro's, con's and the things that have apparently not changed.
Negatives:
- The handle on the glass front is indeed super ugly and clunky rather than the beautiful old arched metal handle, it is far too overgrown black plastic handle, which is not really nice.
- Door jammed a little: It may be that I now use the device only for a month, but if you open completely the Garfach the hooked at the door grille always pinches on the guide rails and wedges. One must then a little shake, and finally it goes to, but nice is different. It feels like how when you try cheap metal on cheap plate to push, with sharp edges on the sides, which is annoying already. Hopefully there, I can not very well WD40 spray in a toaster ...
- Cooking time seems to be longer than in which 10-year-older model, the new toaster is not so hot.
- All buttons are made of plastic and appear much cheaper than before. The device makes a lower quality Eindruch than the old model.
Neutral:
0 - The Garfach is exactly the same size as in the 10 year old model, it can fit up to three rolls next to each other in and out of the level, there is also no problem (!). The elements referred to in some reviews black bread I can only give the following advice: close Toast opening, place frozen bread (I usually eat frozen Dinkelbrötchen) Set 120 degree turn rolls after 4 minutes, leave set at 120 degrees for another 4 minutes and then turn off and Open Garfach. Allow to cool for two minutes and voila, as the baker rolls ;-) The 10 year old model shafts selbiges in 3 1/2 minutes per side.
0 - pressing down the handle for toast is pretty much the same as before, he makes no shakier Eindruch than the old one, which was already rather weak ...
0 - You have to get used to something slightly different times this Toasters, so normal toasts need Level 4 to be about as golden as in normal toasters at level 2-3. But if you even know that the toasts are nice and even golden and crispy.
Positives:
+ There is a detailed guide for first use, at which the device is repeatedly heated maximum for a long time to be ready for use. Here was formed neither smoke nor massive stink, it only smelled a little bit after factory. But not as strong as I could immediately thereafter baking my first rolls in :-)
+ The switching between a toaster and Garfach (a small lever that closes the toaster door) works beautifully soft and good.
+ The knobs for adjusting the temperature or toast time also rotate butter soft and make a not too loose impression.
+ There is a small plate to prepare finished snack can and a small brochure with suggestions on how that might look. But himself no snacks prepared with the device, because I clean imagine rather goofy. The sheet is naturally removed.
+ In addition to the "snack plate" another sheet is present, which is tucked under the grate in order to absorb falling grains and other, course, works only partially, if you open the Garfach comes the hooked at the door rack with out to the laying on of to cooked objects easier.
+ Absolute alternative to the oven, when it comes in the morning for work a aufzubacken to three freeze rolls and all without much noise and massive power consumption.
Conclusion:
I find the price a bit high, but that the quality has mainly been eased in optics but still give a good recommendation to buy, simply because it is a practical tool and it my opinion is unrivaled.
Cowards and frightened by the previous reviews I can only say: Buy, Try and decide yourself. One has 14 days to return without giving reasons ;-)
I myself have to keep it and find the device really good. If I notice still defective or disadvantages in the next few months I will this night Ragen.

Janne
