Do not Look Back (Audio CD)

Customer Review

From today's perspective the album * Do not Look Back * of Boston as a snap shot appears. It was carved almost in record time and already appeared in 1978. The word snap shot is intended to in no ester way designate the musical quality, but should merely be seen as an indication of the very quick operation of Tom Scholz, Brad Delp & Co., as for the third Album is already required then a pure net working time of six years.

The musical quality of * Do not Look Back * is exalted not only beyond any doubt, but is the legendary debut also absolutely equal. While the disc does not contain overheating as * More Than A Feeling *, but one had not even necessary with this hammer-songs. All of the material is still just as exciting as the time of first publication, and seems neither produces nor overly aged. The era of the origin of the song is clearly audible, but to have been set without patina.

The band * Boston * had two years earlier losgelegt with an outstanding debut, and put simply with an outstanding second masterpiece after. One would have a total of 16 songs can bring as a double-LP on the market without any problems. It would have made no difference. Who whines in these jewels, whines either in principle or is not about what a high level he moved clear just.

On the success of Boston could also connect and the following tour was to re triumphal procession. Unfortunately was followed by useless disputes with management and record company, which resulted in the band by-and-by lost its members. A pity, but on the equally outstanding quality of the direct successor * Third Stage * is no more to shake, as the legend status of Boston's first two discs.

CONCLUSION: outstanding music, first-rate band - the perfect successor to the already perfect debut ...
