Saustarkes debut in a balmy time

Customer Review

The album came out at a time when gitarrenorietierter heavy rock not just had his moment of glory, or even fashion was (Disco, Punk, Genesis, Yes, ...). Then came "More Than A Feeling" and "Long Time" on the radio and juke boxes. Who plays? The record store, the seller said the LP with the Ufo is selling like hot cakes he must be backordered.
The sound sounded completely new that many vocal parts, the feeling for melody, the fast beat.
- "More Than A Feeling" almost everyone knows, already an oldie-Evergreen.
- Peace of mind would have been in my opinion a big hit as well as the first track, the melody and the fast riff can not get you out of my head
- A notable example is the organ intro and "Long Time" the long run in the juke box with us (Valentin Becker, Würzburg) and was pressed repeatedly. Sexy the transition from heavy to acoustic guitar licks.
- "Smokin 'is the hardest, fastest and flippigste title. When driving you should not hear him, he seduces a frenzy. Rarely a so - in the first cycle - rousing guitar riff heard the organ solo sounds like Deep Purple (then already out of fashion) in their best tracks (eg hard Lovin You)
The rest is no less attractive. More than 15 million were sold by the debut.
Tom Scholz is a good producer and writer of native texts. Brad Delp, has a 6 octave voice that is difficult to copy. Guitarist Barry Goudreau blends well with the organ. The band was never as good as on this record, which would be difficult to create. Who still remembers the powerful curly hair of the drummer, who managed a solid base with the bassist.
With "Bad Company" the best debut of the second Heavy seventies decade. The soft elements (eg the intro to More Than A Feeling) and the captivating melodies - not exactly commonplace in Heavy Metal - make the drive also interesting for listeners who can not do anything with heavy sounds otherwise ...
