R & G Rhythm & Gangsta (The Masterpiece) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After the debut "Doggystyle", my all-time favorite, the compared to rather bad "Tha Dogg Father" and the 3 No Limit albums in which Snoop style, down to about a dozen tracks with 3 different CD he has done his time in no limit, somehow in the No-Limit synth beats and (to) sank many feature partners, came 2002, the controversial but yes very good "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo $$" the differed greatly from all hitherto published by Snoop. This was due to the experimental beats of different producer from the Neptunes to legend DJ Premier. And that path leads Snoop now with "R & G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece" consistently. No track is like the other, the instrumentals go by electronically ("Pass It Pass It") on soulful ("No Thang On Me" with Bootsy Collins) to funky disco sounds (the ingenious "Signs" in which Jutin Timberlake I actually do not particularly like, perfectly fits as a feature). The only thing that remains the listener is Snoops relaxed and chef excessive Rapstyle which really fits to every beat and guest. There is no bad track, I find only "Step Yo Game Up" with Lil 'Jon and Trina not so great, because I Crunk not my thing, but even this has to a certain track Listen-but something good in itself. As face-tips are definitely the singles "Drop It Like It's Hot" call (most unusual beat of the year, a great job of Neptunes), "Let's Get Blown" and "Signs". In addition, like me "(Intro) I Love To Give You Light", "The Bidness", "Ups & Downs" (no real Bee Gees feature, actually only one sample) and "No Thang On Me" (Snoop and Bootsy harmonize just perfect). The album is definitely a best buy for all who like Snoop or stand on varied beats. I would even say that the album after the debut Snoop is best, it is in any case ever as good as the 2002 album and Snoop is one of the last legends that have survived the hip hop, though he us voluntarily by its waiver of Dr. Dre's Beats probably can go some good music through your fingers ... So if you like challenging and musically varied gangsta rap, they immediately order this CD! Fur Westcoast- and Snoop fans (like me) anyway a must!
