But that really devastating is the instability. I've done it with not a single attempt to copy a large amount of data (> 200MB) without network error. After some time arbitrary, but reproducible tears down the connection, Windows "swallowed" to it and refuses to copy the file in which the error has occurred yet. One can "skip" the file and continue with the rest, but that's not a solution for me. When you copy several terabytes of process takes many hours at speed, because I do not want to sit next to it and especially after looking the overridden files. A driver update is investigated on the manufacturer's site to no avail. On all other components it can not lie, wireless works, the transmission without error (though thanks to my old router by a factor of 10 slower), even when connected to the same switch Mac mini (even if running on virtual Windows) there is no disconnections between USB disk and NAS.
Full fatal are the network outages when copying data to Amazon Cloud Drive, since then interrupts the transmission completely.
Conclusion: for short-term connectivity, which is not about a permanent error-free connection, for example, to surf where a stateless protocol like HTTP forgive momentary power interruptions, reasonably enough, the USB hub is ok, otherwise not useful.
Update: I have raised the rating of 1 to 3 stars. After the review I have been contacted by the customer, who was extremely committed to finding a solution and has even sent a second copy free of charge to test because it could be that a hardware defect was present. (Download third-party drivers from the Internet), the other tips were indeed less useful, but at least the support is present and classified as customer-friendly. My real problem was not completely solved, the disconnections I have, however, also with the second specimen, rare. The upload of 10GB to Amazon Cloud Drive working principle, only 2 files errors have occurred, but the transfer is not completely collapsed. I really have tried everything, including inhibited via the device manager, the shutdown of the equipment to energy-saving purposes under Windows, but now and then the device skips. And it's not as fast as it could be. But overall I think now three stars are justified. It is faster than Wi-Fi, it is multi-functional because of the USB3.0 hub (so it will not block the USB port, but even the connectivity tripled) and this comes a customer-friendly service - with certain limitations, it is therefore recommended.
