I bought a 4GB and an 8GB version of this sticks. First the positive: The aluminum case looks solid and something almost noble. Disillusionment follows on the foot. The read and write rates are very far beyond what is advertised. My 3 year old stick (2 GB), the much better. It was measured with IOMeter with USBDeview, the results were comparable. Interestingly, USBDeview the manufacturer ID (VID) and product ID (PID), together with the measured values, and you can look it up on a website. This one is amazed at how many different PIDs and VIDs appear under the product name of the said sticks. I think there will be installed, which is just as well, and that has not always something to do with "dual-channel" or similar technologies. Upon removal from an admittedly stiff USB port, the stick still broke then on into its component parts. While this could again be put together, but that was also the initial impression of a mechanically solid sticks destroyed. I can not recommend this speed you get for significantly less money these sticks!
