I do not usually leave comments on what I read so I apologize in advance if I'm clumsy or unclear.
I just loved this book. It has of course revolutionized literature but I think it was not the intention. As against this is to pass a relaxing moment, the goal is fully achieved.
Ana is a simple girl, naive, smart and clumsy that Christian encounter. He is rich, intelligent, complex and very sexy. She falls in love and accept the blow he introduced him to BDSM. The basic story is quite simple and certainly did nothing new. As for the sex scenes, though they are quite "hot", it is still far from Story of O by Pauline Réage. But the author, by simply writing happens to make these endearing characters and you are left completely caught up in their story. Ana is not a strong woman, like for example a Scarlett O'Hara, but despite her shyness she and the respondent knows how to be funny. Regarding Christian we understand pretty quickly that he has secret wounds that made him the man he is today. If he initiates Ana BDSM, she, somehow, made him discover the tender and affectionate love and what he calls the "vanilla sex".
I enjoyed reading this beautiful love story, dreaming of this extraordinary lover and it must be said completely unrealistic lol.
As for those of you who find offensive or do a rapprochement with rape I confess I do not understand. I do not see how relations between consenting adults and free of stop when they wish, can be likened to rape. We see and hear every day worse on television.
There are thousands of books without the Hugo and Zola are still very good and pleasing to many. You just know what purpose you buy a book. Personally I wanted a book that allows me to dream and escape.
So in conclusion if you want great literature or a highly philosophical work go your way. Now if you want a nice spicy love story I highly recommend it.
