Anticipating one thing. It is quite difficult for me to evaluate the price / performance. I know about that professional devices cost as much in the studio. I think the P / L is in order here. For 175.00 incl. Delivery you get even a decent rookie machine.
The part is stable and wobbles "only" where it is acceptable even shake, namely the adjustable thigh support. The calf machines at the gym but do not wobble as well.
The assembly took me and my two left hands approximately one hour.
In the manual there is a small error has crept in, so the two poles have been reversed. In the manual, the shorter silver rod is designed as a weight bar and the longer gray rod for the thigh. It is of course the other way around.
The device is definitely not for professionals, because right there is my biggest gripe.
I am a beginner own Rottweiler calves. What are Rottweiler calves? You know this breed is not it? Then you also know about how voluminous the calves of that animal. ;-)
Despite my embarrassment thin legs I am easily able to use this machine 5 clean sets (10 reps each.) Run with 40kg additional weight. With 90 seconds of rest between sets.
So even though I'm sitting on the side part and per two 10kg discs have it, it's not very stressful for my calf muscles .... Problem is that the pressure on the thighs despite cushion from this additional weight is already uncomfortable.
The pro-Wade machine at the gym has brought me no added weight to my limit and the pressure on my thighs was not noticeable.
So if you already have inherently strong calves, I would not recommend you the part here. I know that is not how much extra weight can withstand the thing. I had already made fun 50kg plan and had at least a little bit concerned that the partial collapses. Even with 50kg extra weight are the reps. Not very hard for me.
Finally, a general problem Wade. The volume of human Wade says much about their performance. Even thin calves can bring amazing performance.
