The Akasa AK-ICR-17 has first 7 on my ASUS Sabertooth X79 motherboard is working quite well under Windows. But starting from Windows 8, he made funny business, even after a firmware update and in 8.1 wars even worse. In addition, I was the Akasa AK-ICK-17 Whatever the stupid cable routing for the second USB 3.0 port disturbed by the PC through the rear housing for AKASA. There are just too many inflexible cable to this unit. Also annoying I find that all Katen- and USB connector are upside down.
After 8 months I was fed up and am very happy with the HooToo PCI-E USB 3.0 now, and this with only two cables, one for power and one for PCI-E X1 / X16 slot. In addition, the HooToo is stable and fast under Win 8.1.
