In my view, was seized too much on synth beats back,
what was first of all, of course, intended by Nas and Damian to create something new along with the traditional African music elements
nevertheless:
A prime example here I take the song "Tribes At War"
He begins with a synthesizer and xylophone Synthhesizer violins that almost "cheap" sound and readily available from real instruments could be replaced, then runs through the whole song a monotonous synth beat that significantly reduces the overall picture.
Something similar happened to me in so many other song on the album, it was just used to little real or at least real-looking instruments. The advantages of real instruments are significant and indeed they do not sound better but it can still bring a very unique expression in good musicians.
Can offset this shortcoming but almost back by the authenticity of the music as a complete work, you realize nähmlich directly that the musicians are trying to express something that comes from "Herzem" (as opposed to do other chart music).
For content I can so far say little, but I think that was already adequately addressed by other reviewers.
Well actually you can my opinion to instrumentalization yes mention just a matter of taste, I personally would not call it "musical masterpiece", but recommended is still aleine already because of its subject matter.
