Here is my contribution to this part.
=== Inateck FD2002 2-Bay USB 3.0 HDD Docking Station ===
=== === Delivery
Cloning Station, USB 3.0 data cable, 12V / 3A power supply, instruction manual, free technical support
=== === My experience with the docking station
I are currently about 20 old, but functional hard drives here. To access it, I've always used a Sata Adapter Logilink.
Although the part worked well, but who do not a little familiar with the matter, the crisis gets in the part. Report here at Ciao
,
Thanks to this Inateck dock adapters are the story.
The station is first supplied via power supply unit with power and then connected to the enclosed USB3 cable to the PC.
Now the station with the switch on the rear panel switch. Now comes on the top left side of the station on a green light.
Now you have two options:
First, read an old hard drive and save the necessary data on the PC.
Secondly, there is the possibility of a hard drive (hard disk) 1: 1 clone.
It does not matter whether there are two 2.5-inch or 3.5 inch Hds. It is also possible, a 2.5er and a 3.5 to clone (copy)
The handling is very simple, very easy.
Just a HD in one of the shafts stuck. This ensured that the contact of the plate with the docking station is securely connected
,
Also had only a little taste and then there is a slight, almost imperceptible clack and the contacts are firmly connected to each other.
I use the dock with Win 7 Ultimate. The station is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 / 1.1. My Win 7 has detected the station and the therein plates immediately.
There was so far no problems. Since then I have this station now, stuck always 2 plates in it, and I can at any time, without long Umstöpseln, Vebinden cable access my data.
As for speed, which the manufacturer claims (transfer rate up to 5Gbps) when reading and writing, I do not betriffthabe remeasured. However, I am so far very, very satisfied with the device.
=== === Another advantage
Cloning a disk no PC is required !!!
Simply connect both hard disks, on the Clone - press button (blue LED) and the entire hard disk will be cloned! Perfect !!
On the upper left side of the dock is a progress indicator with LED: When cloning a running light appears under progress, 25% - 50% - 75% - 100%.
However, one must note (but is always so), if you want to clone a disk, the target disk must always be larger than the source disk.
It is equally important to check to clone hard drive previously that are no damaged sectors. Gibts enough freeware and WIN 7 `s also on board.
=== === Conclusion
The Inateck docking station now has a permanent place in my PC Schrnak.
The build quality is really very good. No sharp edges or corners, the case is also very well made.
The supplied cables are long enough.
The small, 6-page manual is, however, written only in English. But even for people who can not speak English, it's no problem to take the station into operation, since it is self-explanatory !!
From me the dock of Inateck gets a strong buy recommendation and all 5 stars !!
