Features:
The Beurer PM 80 Heart rate monitor comes with the chest strap, storage bag, bicycle holder, PC connection clip and of course manual and software.
Optics / processing / comfort:
The heart rate monitor Beurer PM 80 has a high-quality look at first glance, and can certainly be worn to suit and tie.
Unfortunately, it is in the metal case only quite thin sheet, which is not exactly acting very impact resistant. Also, the glass should therefore be treated no mineral glass and more care. The buttons appear in the operation, even a bit cheap and not always react reliably.
The chest strap is more likely to be described as 'old design'. Many manufacturers, especially higher quality pulse gauges have, indeed switched to soft textile belts. Here you can get even a fairly stiff narrow chest of a hartgummiartigem material, with the usual rubber band to do so. As the clock should also be suitable for swimming, but this is perhaps by design.
The comfort of the clock is very good and you hardly notice that you wear a. The belt turn is clearly noticeable, but after a few steps not bother us.
Operation / Training
The service is not quite as intuitive as I had hoped for that. Based on my Casio G-Shock My first handle is in the turn of the menu unfortunately the wrong button. But you deal with that.
What I find a bit inconvenient is that you can not save and use multiple pulse zones. So I walk on two days a week with 70-80% of my MaxHerzfrequenz and need for my long run manually change the pulse limits to 60-70% and then Reset.
The radio transmission is very reliable and the display also when walking in the forest yet easy to read. At dusk, although I have not tested it, but I could already make my experience with forest in heavy cloud cover and rain. Again, I had no problems.
Software / Data Transfer
The EasyFit software is convincing in order, but not in all areas. So you can not change the dubbed by the clock data in the software later still. Unfortunately, apparently once reacted the stop button of my clock not right, so I end a run of 23h: 59min had in my statistics. Although 22 hours without pulse, but the time was no longer correct. So I could just delete the term and re-enter by hand, using averages.
Otherwise, the software is designed for the whole package with Speedbox and body fat scale. However, the other data can luckily manually populating (if they are, for example, has a different scale), so you can also use as almost all functions.
Conclusion:
I'm quite happy with the clock up on subtleties. Some might even improve Beurer, but these are fortunately this only to little things that I just can not do without. For the price the clock provides a good package, that you also can not expand with the speed box.
