My feeling is that this variety holds quite good, is not quite as sensitive as the two types previously. They are also slightly heavier, is being spoken of differences on very light level. For roughing and rough surfaces such sponges are anyway not suitable.
The main purpose is to remove dirt from smooth or slightly roughened surfaces max. And precisely because they are superior to all other cleaning products hands down. Examples are burned debris on the inner pane of the oven (after pre-cleaning coarse), strongly adhering dirt in the sink, flying remains on windshields or slight calcium deposits on faucets, tiles, glass etc.
Conclusion: Such sponges can save a lot of roughing with washbasin, kitchen and bathroom straight. For coarse dirt and edged surfaces should be resorted to other means.
