Downside is the price you just can require more ink per cartridge. The ink is used up more quickly purely technical reasons, you can not blame the manufacturer. But the cartridges are only 3/4 full and very thin. One would therefore still plenty of room for more ink without making the pins thicker! Excuses such that the rear blank portion of the mine must remain to prevent a vacuum, I see as a mockery. Unfortunately, the greed of the company will again result in the competition, you will roll over. Then, although with slightly less quality, but with 3x more content per mine.
And for those who do not the art of these mines are aware, here's a little hint. The color of the mines will not be visible by heat, hence the etching. Absolutely avoid hot springs such as direct sunlight or direct contact with a heater! In normal use, my transcript but has never been "resolved". Only in the cases just mentioned.
