Top Lego Technic set

First, I want to mention that I Lego Technic sets collect already for a few years and even build their own models.
Also, I've waited so long (own the excavator itself since release date) to write a review about this product, because I first wanted to wait for the service pack of Lego!

1. Technology
To have the Lego digger is in my opinion one of the best Technic products in recent years, because there are so many gears and mechanisms to understand, because you have the excavators have often Disassemble and reassemble everything accurately understood (which gear drives which and which engine meets what function?)
That's why I forgive here 5/5 stars!

2. Functionality
Now for the first appearance of the excavator I was after assembly a bit disappointed as the excavator was not moving fast enough and overall the model seemed the batteries literally "eat up". Other functions, such as moving the excavator on the two chains was not working properly.
Then I started to search the Internet for solutions to the problems and have become quickly found. It said then it may be directly put on a list at Lego, so as to obtain a service pack because Lego is already aware of the problems and is working on a solution.
The Service Pack has arrived with me and I have to say, now meets the excavator should be problem-free.
Exchange goods the 4 linear actuating cylinder, here are included in Service Pack 4 contains new, with significantly reduced friction, so that all functions of the arm now run much easier and quicker!
In addition, the service pack contains a few extra parts with which you can solve the problem of cracking gears the chain drive, so that the excavator is now perfectly maneuverable!
Overall it can be said that after the Service Pack from the Lego excavator as expected is fully functional, but the Lego parts are due to the size of the model to its mechanical limits and you should not expect a high load capacity.
I use the excavator with the rechargeable battery pack of Lego Power Functions, what the performance even improved a little in contrast to conventional batteries.
Result: 4/5 stars with Service Pack (new "Versioin" the excavator from November)

3. Design
There not much to say, the excavator will quickly become super-fast and realistic, making it on each shelf a jewel!
Especially the new Yellow panels give the model beautiful Fromen.

4. Durability
As usual, also this Lego Technic set of excellent quality and stability, you should note that higher frictions are caused by the engines and some Lego parts not keep as long as in "hand-operated" Lego models, however.
Therefore 4/5 stars

Conclusion:
Finally, I can only say that I personally any Lego fan whether big or small can empfehlem be zuzulegen this set!
Who so great Technic sets like builds and sets up on the shelf is the best advice here, the parts can be but also perfect for many own creations use!
Guests wishing to play a lot with the excavator, the only with a sufficient supply of batteries or a rechargeable battery and should take care of the Lego Service Pack to obtain or purchase the enhanced version that will be published soon.
Bottom line, I forgive 4/5 stars!
