Top Mini-PC!

Appearance
The mini-computer from Asus is a visual feast for the eyes. The brushed aluminum lid gives the kids an elegant appearance. In addition, it fits with its dimensions 19cmx19cm and a low height of about 6cm suited to any sideboard, wardrobe, desk, practically every place where space is gone.
However, one must not forget the external power supply. The developers of this outsourced apparently to save even more space in the actual body of the Mini-PCs. The PC holds well and it rattles and nothing wobbles. The design is already rather associated a black box, since you no switches, knobs, ports found on the front and the side, etc.. The power button is located on the way back, which also contains all the ports and sockets. The Power button is located on the back, one could regard as impractical, but I personally give the appearance priority.

Inner workings
By default, all interfaces such as USB3, HDMI etc. plentiful given (2x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA output, etc.). The heart consists of an Intel i3 two core processor with 1800MHz. Thus it is optimally equipped in times of fiber and Gigabit networks. An optical drive is actually absent.
Upgrading is also possible. If the hard drive or memory capacity to be maxed out, these can be easily extended. Here Asus has made sure that you easily and quickly gets to the components. With a two screw handles the lid is lifted and gives direct access to the hard drive, under it there is the memory. Both can change / expand slightly.

The power consumption according to the manufacturer with max. 65 Watt indicated what I think is Top. The built-in speakers are not the same as right stereo speakers, but for simple purposes adequately. Should one example. Projects hear / see a movie in good digitalDS 5.1, the sound can be easily connected to a system using the S / PID interface.

Conclusion
A very quiet and silent mini-PC, suitable for the office environment, or as MediaStation. I am very happy with the choice of Mini-PCs from Asus. He met my expectations completely. Thus, he deserves the full 5 stars.
