Iconoclast! Time a slightly different topic, as on the last HSB plates, albeit VLT. only externally, because of the lyrics ago it revolves mostly back to socially critical lyrics. But enough of that, we come to the sound. And that is again Erstklassik! After Deaf To Our Prayers return to Iconoclast Pt. 1 again, the intro and outro, which you already know from Antigone. This time, however, they have left it at 2 such classical instrumental pieces and they may become so exaggerated. Otherwise, they have to, even if not recognizable at first glance, evolved. With "A Dying Ember" they have ventured to write a sort of semi-ballad, with the cover of "Black Tears" they have given a large number of the Melodeath area the best and even better than the Originall! The last track "Atonement" them a good instrumental piece has succeeded which works without any singing. If, in this album even more on the epic riffs and choruses, as already on the last Deaf To Our Prayers. In my opinion, it is them even better managed, as I could hear no stopgap until the track 8. Ranging from "End Time", it binds to a "Joel" in "A Quest For Resistance" then comes a not so strong track what then but with "Black Tears" again is entirely balances out. "Against All Lies" and "The Disease" are unfortunately not been as good as the previous songs, but quite acceptable. Apart from these 3 tracks, the album is flawless, produces clean and offers a wealth of songs that I have seldom heard on an album. Especially the song "End Time", "Murderers Of All Murderers", "Forlorn Skies", "A Dying Ember" and "Black Tears" have it done to me. All in all, I would claim that it is the best album that the guys have since tinkered together, because it has the long-term test at my best so far existed (I hear at least 3 it twice a week and the shcon for half a year! ). With this album they have definitely proven that they are the tip of the German metalcore. Caliban, Maroon and CO. beat them hands down. Hopefully the next piece pops also as Iconoclast Pt. 1 !!!!
