The iPad Smart Cover function is supported and the iPad will automatically switch when closing the cover in the standby mode. Here lies the problem: It is not always the unit turns off and actually the cover you have to connect again to hear the longed shutdown sound of iPads once.
Much disturbing I find, however, that the shut-off function is also common in zurückgeklapptem Cover unintentionally activated by slightly moving the cover in the middle of working "from behind". It's annoying but rather is something through mindfulness and routinised restarting sometimes unacceptable.
The Goodstyle team is very friendly, several exchanges take actions were not a problem, but also costly. In the end I keep a fairly acceptable cover, all in all, several months worked well. Whether you can take the functional defects and possibly some exchanges take actions, you have to decide for yourself.
The Goodstyle Cover is certainly one of the most stylish covers, I think. Schön (because even classical) I would have found, if the inside is not orange, but had been kept in the bright leather natural color. But that's a matter of taste.
In short:
+ Full marks for style
- A deduction of points for the imperfect execution of meaningful Smart Cover functionality
- Remaining points are deducted because the plastic corners cancel the pinch of the iPad after a short time
Supplement (May 2012):
1. Here the plastic clamp is broken at a corner after only a few months. However, the Goodstyle team has shown very accommodating and provided after sending a photograph of the defect immediately a new cover available. Thank you for that and a praise for the uncomplicated processing!
2. Just a pity that the new case, the Smart-Cover Function not left. Since my Rumschickerei and correspondence but was now too annoying, I have kept the cover easy. Over time, the problem improved considerably, what possibly could be the leather cover, which becomes softer with the time and then the Smart Cover function trips easier. So also a problem that with time and patience dissolves by itself.
SUPPLEMENT (January 2013)
The replacement cover is also broken again at a corner. unacceptable for the high price tag and leather version.
