Picture:
On the TV a Technisat Digitareceiver was connected via RGB Scart. The picture is just great. Razor sharp, deep rich black and a liquid flow without ghosting or judder during fast movements thanks to 100Hz. The colors are strong but of course represented, above all. (: Reduce factory contrast and color intensity my recommendation: Warning! 33 Contrast / Color Depth: 22 => Reference Image: newscaster on ARD or ZDF)
When TV dealers HD picture content were tested. Both image content on Blu-Ray or HD receiver (TV channels: AnixeHD, Arte HD) are reproduced razor sharp. Full HD is not missing.
The "burning" of fonts and still pictures (silhouettes) it should lt. Manufacturers no longer exist in the current models, and was not found by me.
Power consumption:
The rumor that plasma significantly more power than LCD heard well with the new model from Panasonic empires thing of the past. With an ammeter, the consumption was measured with this device. Bright pixels in plasma devices consume more power than known dark pixels. As a result, I can confirm the manufacturer's specified average consumption of 189 watts.
In the TV Test Stiftung Warentest 4/2009 is the power consumption at the getesten LCD sets with 37-inch 150-191 watts. Overall, I think the power consumption for the Panasonic to present prior art for aktzeptabel. The selectable Eco mode (Reduces brightness of picture) saving even more energy but reduces the optical clarity.
Service:
The installation does not cause problems because of the good menu. However, the full manual is only in the form of a CD. Who does not have a PC must ask someone you know about printing the manual.
In the manual you miss at first glance a table of contents. Anyone who wants to explore the full range of functions, the instructions need to read more than once, because the structure is simple confusing.
But if you only used to reproduce the TV set to the image of an external satellite receiver, only the red on-off button is required.
Sound:
The standard speakers have only earned 3 stars (thin sound, little bass). Urgent recommendation: Connecting speaker stereo position the TV and satellite receiver in amplifier => rich sound.
Where do you want to be hidden in the small TV sets and good speakers.
Tip on the pitch:
One should not overdo it with the image size. A 94-cm screen diagonal is perfectly adequate for a seat pitch of up to 3.50 meters. Today's TVs have such a high color intensity that is too short a pitch or a large screen to the long term may well cause headaches and fatigue.
Conclusion:
Picture convinced even without full HD. Power consumption is acceptable. Weaknesses in the Guide and sound have no meaning for me. For the price, there are at present nothing better on the TV market. 5 Stars !!!
