I do not regret this decision to LeLonghi Rotofry.
Here again the various aspects in retrospect:
- Rotofry system: The basket is slanted in the deep fryer, so much oil is only half NSO needed, which is not an empty promise. 1.2 liters have passed. Therefore the Fryer heats also not for ages, I guess about 8 minutes.
The frying basket is suitable for 1kg fried, which also fits for 2 people, with 3-4 people this is a Frittiergang but certainly much too small.
Through the viewing window in the lid you can watch the frying process, if it is not fogged by a lot of condensation.
- Cleanliness: The Easy Clean System works also as discussed. The integrated drain tap the fat can without much effort and especially without a lot of dirt to make to be drained. Alone this point places the Rotofry already far ahead of other devices that do not have this mechanism!
The lid and the frying basket can be easily removed for cleaning. General can work very well with the device. Filters should logically be renewed upon expiry.
- Cooking time: I have been using only chips or other fried potatoes, in my opinion, optimal cooking time is possibly 1-2 minutes on the manufacturer's recommended and is perfectly adequate. Here it comes, but probably also depends on how full the basket.
- Handling: What I found to be rather suboptimal, that the cover while pressing the opening button opens quite fast and jerky. Here you should place one hand on the lid during operation, otherwise it can lead to spills and the like.
The dipping and removal of the basket on the other hand works fine. As promised, the device is not hot. "Cool Touch" but I think an exaggeration - you could tell that is cooked inside ;-)
- Odor: for me was only partly a crucial point, as this in the devices unfortunately a necessary evil is but the smell is very limited, especially as I had previously used a komplettt open fryer. The filters do their job.
- Manual: I do not know if it is standard (it can hardly imagine ..) but my copy was not in manual. That's pretty annoying as just in those appliances in order first Inbetriebsnahme a look at this is absolutely necessary. Conclusion:
Just buy it from someone who has already owned several models and this is by far the best device scolds.
