Mannomann. So an annoyance. "Night Flight" is a great album. The lack of interest is probably due from the minimal success of the 3 singles (TITANIC a minor hit; DANCE MEPHISTO and NACHTFLUG no hit). Here this has again of the work Amadeus creators Bolland & Bolland produced a lot of great moments. The opener TITANIC joins the great grooving pop number "Monarchy Now" on (which was planned as a 4th single, but it did not get beyond a promo pressing; too bad). In typical Viennese charm FALCO comes with a sharp tongue; YAH VIBRATION vibrates in a Reggae / Pop / Rap mixture, DANCE MEPHISTO marched smartly, wiry and electronically in Tango clock with great text. PSYCHOS, SCANDAL and propganda are brisk FALCO-typical pop / rap bombast. But it is fun and can go along. TIME and Cadillac Hotel are melancholy but pleasant ballads; where in the nervous TIME Background chants of Bollands. The sleepwalker, soft Clubbing number NACHTFLUG album concludes melancholic.
It is a typical on-top-with-open-window-in-car listening to a CD. Buying the shekel seems, given the lack of chart success a risk - but it is not. Or as they say: "No Risk No Fun"!
