I have the 1TB version, the 1.5TB version and the 2TB version. They behave almost all the same (except for the 2TB version, this does unfortunately Turn noise / vibration noise and is also slightly larger / higher).
Since I consider benchmark test as very meaningful, I pass on love experience. The transmission rates (500GB - 1TB suddenly move / copy) they commute all, at just 40MB / s. I use a PC Express card, since my laptop no USB3.0 port didnt.
Following Smart TV goes without problems and USB recording was to make in my case immediately possible (own a Toshiba LCD) without large format, and other settings.
When we started with the portable 2.5 "(USB3.0) hard drives, my feeling a few years ago, I have to beat out price / performance reasons in the 'WD Passport'. And these are operated so annoying, what the noise terms that I hardly use and not recommend. No matter where they are, table, chair, or under a specially erected silencers, they are always clearly heard. To have an idea of what I mean, If you are connected to my laptop, I keep asking myself, my video card cooler is already dirty / defective, or what is buzzing here like this.
These 'problems' have 'Toshiba Stor.e' not! Even the 2TB version is the 'apparent'. Is not nearly as 'loud'.
Conclusion:
Buys as long as they are cheap!
But limited for the 2TB version - who get along with 'some noise': Buy!
Anyone (like myself) has rather quiet: prefer to buy the slightly smaller versions!
