I have not read the book (and do not read it) but only heard the man on the radio. Remember he was a journalist (damn business) and that his job offered many advantages and freedom. Sir, a little decency, think of all those who have not had your background, who are happy today enjoy their retirement and are far from being depressed, which seems not to be you. As for me, I look forward to my own (I'm 59) with still full of plans. As you so aptly point out Ms. Christine Bravo, one may very well not be bored doing nothing. Must know how to go ahead and accept that there is a time for everything.
