As a fan of the musical course, I am pleased that with this CD finally a complete recording has been released. Fortunately itself has not changed really much to the pieces themselves for the Broadway production. A few extra bars here, a little embellishment here, but on the whole, the old, beloved "Shop of Horrors". For fans really sensational but are the five bonus tracks: Here are entitled to hear, who have never made it to the finished piece. An alternative performance number for the dentist, a small ballad of Audrey and Seymour's thoughts in the waiting room of the dentist's - unmistakably is also here the handwriting of authors and composers, at least parts of these songs would fit perfectly into the piece. The really special thing is: we hear no performer with an orchestra, but the composer Alan Menken himself at his piano, who also sings the title itself. With two titles even sings the (now deceased) Author Howard Ahsman what the fan was really for me the absolute highlight and selling point for this CD.
