The hard drive was purchased as a backup medium for a Dell XPS with Win 8. The hard drive is also recognized and can be addressed. For some reason, the FP sets out sporadically and blocked the entire system. Tests on Vista and Win 7 on other PCs confirm the phenomenon. I suppose that there is something wrong with the interface controller. A manufacturer who on his website that highlights the quality and safety backup for this product full-bodied, should work on its quality control as times. After WD hard drives I'll probably grab Seagate also on my blacklist.
