E-reader with a touchscreen display sounds like a good idea. You can Easily navigate through menu, look up words in a dictionary with a double click, write notes, etc etc. PRS-600 does this all very well. Where it fails is a quality of the display. Touchscreen layer adds a glare Which makes reading very uncomfortable. You must always make sure That You hold the device in a proper angle to try to Minimise the reflection. If you have not seen another e-reader you'd probably think this is how it's supposed to be. But try PRS-300. Yes, it's smaller, you can not extend the storage and there's no dictionary. But no Compromises were made with the display. You can hold it as you find comfortable, the text will always be very easy to read. If you consider buying this e-reader, I would recommend to find a shop where you can look at and see if you Both models place PRS-600 acceptable. I did not. I give it 2 stars Because I want my e-reader to be best at what it is built for, reading books. Any bells and whistles are optional for me. A word is new Sony touchscreen models are coming, let's hope they'll have more luck with the quality of the touch screen this time.
