This is the most traditional-sounding of Reba's Mercury Releases - Not quite as traditional as My kind of country and the three albums did Followed it, but close. It was Reba's last album of original material for the label, so Perhaps she recorded just what she wanted. (Yes, I know about the album Reba Nell McEntire, but That was a compilation of unreleased recordings, released after Reba had left Mercury.) The album contains a great mix of up-tempo songs and ballads. Nickel Dreams is a song That inspired Tanya Tucker, who never got around to recording the song but used the title for her autobiography (a book definitely worth reading). Tanya said that the song could have been written about her.
