I launched into criticism of this new 2CD edition of Breakfast In America, since no one has yet done. You should know that Superclochards fans (including me) are always on the lookout for everything related to the group: the lives, of "remastering" of "bootlegs" demo, the "unreleased" of After all bits of anything that listens, provided it is signed Hodgson and Davies (Supertramp after because without them, it's ... something else). The problem with the fans is that they already know all that exists and that often they have three times the same album on three or four different media (K7, Vinyl, CD, MP3 .....) besides unofficial barely audible at times, but "we are happy because we have !!". The dream for the hardcore fan is to have the version (finally!) The complete live at the Pavillon de Paris (the "Paris" of 1980) and the top of the top, the "Holy Grail" that should allow us to the soul leave this world in peace would be to have our eyes (identified by age and probably already suffering from nearsightedness) the DVD version of the same live. It exists because we talk about it all the fan forums (and too bad if it's an urban legend, we like to believe). It supposes, we expect it, we feel it happen, we see almost, it is there, it is certain !!! Meanwhile, record companies (who like to torture the fans) we offer this version "Deluxe" BIA which as its name does not indicate it is a pretty "box in cardboard fold" (or "Digipack" for least of us old) with two CDs, a re-mastered version (the original is 79) with the same sound as before, but not like before remastered (?!) Note just a sound spectrum a brighter hint . May be less friendly is finally .... depending on your gear and your ears. A remaster any relative, then, since the original was already exceptional in the mix (when I said 79, I spoke of 1979, no 79). To make a small digression, I recommend the SHM-CD version of Breakfast In America is amazing at voices and pianos. Just before entering the thick of it, one can linger two seconds on the book, completely new, full of small original photos (not always very successful at levels of the model for my taste but there are superb NetB y musicians) with a big English text that makes us a bio of the group and his artistic approach. This is very interesting, especially if you are English (or American, it depends but let's not quibble). So I rather prolongs the suspense and I finally talking about this second CD unreleased live which is the real novelty of this beautiful object. This is a Live. Finally, rather a live assembly of the tour "Breakfast Tour 1979". There are songs recorded there at Wembley, Miami and 6 pieces missing from the "Live In Paris" (I think they finally are all there). The sound has nothing to do with the sound of the double live "Paris" of 80. It is quite close to a clean, dry sound "mixer output". Superb version of "Another Man's Woman" and amazing stripped version of "Even In The Quietest Moments". A "Child Of Vision" slightly below the original studio (especially on the chorus late piano) but for the rest, pleasure to finally hear unreleased live from the heyday of the group ("Downstream", " Oh Darling "" Give A Little Bit "...). We would like as it goes, we go again, it still lasts, that the group finally reformed, a new album is on sale, feeling the same emotions as before, take this great bag in our hands, that our hair grow and why not finally take a breakfast bar in America ..... Ah, nostalgia when you back us in the mug !!
