Trouble again with Windows 8.1

I use the Internet Security Norton on three Win 8.1 PCs and over again there are problems. Mostly this manifests itself so that I can install any software, because the installer does not start simply. Last here is my only noticed that Norton has crashed again, because I could not install a Firefox update. The only solution is then usually the Internet Security Task to kill and restart. Sometimes not even help, then I must reinstall the stuff.

Sometimes Norton can also just do not maximize from the Taskbar, so that I can not see if updates have been installed / are available or whether a virus scan would be announced. Here you must restart the program, which is of course accompanied by a restart of the PC.

Whether and how Norton Internet Security works well when I'm working on a PC without installing anything every day, I can not understand. Therefore prefer to do without it entirely and rely on the Windows own solutions, which now function very well and are also safe.
