Anyway, I have acquired the Twin Turbo III.
There to 4 years or so I bought the NVIDIA GTX470, the first day, 70 ºC 95-100 ºC Idle and full games. Unbelievable. At that time I decided to cut the plastic of the graphics card for the GPU heatsink visible, and I have then adapted a 12CM fan with a small extra sink, and I managed to get off 60 75-80 Idle and full games.
By cons after a few years, with the dust and time cétait not so successful, I had to change the fan 12 cm, and jaime good marks so the price can be 20 to close.
I then came to the Amazon site, and seek the fan I found it, I have said so go we'll try. My expectations nétaient not the best because my system had already reduced temperatures 20-25ºC, but still the twin turbo is much more professional than the haggling that javai done.
INSTALLATION:
Pretty complicated setup for a novice PC. If you are familiar ty, no special worries.
Caution If you have a GTX 470 (GTX480 also I think) at the sink before lajustement hang it, it makes you measure the distance between the edge of X PCIe connector and the middle of the GPU chip, to see the position in which it should be put. Bein the reference is wrong, you'll see that it will at 54mm, but it must still take the configuration as if cétait 56mm, otherwise the GPU is not well covered by the heatsink. YOU HAVE TO DO LEAVE THE SINK AS IT COMES THE In B, center hole. That this is surely incomprehensible, but if you have a GTX 470, and you buy it, keep that information.
RESULT:
A faith lit jai installed pc and start my usual game. In idle, she went down to 60-65ºC to 55ºC or less quickly 60ºC. By cons full games, 70ºC, 71ºC, so 72ª not nickel BUT I thought okay this is normal good, this is a different ventilos thus the control of FAN is not suitable at all.
So i downloaded the software PRECISIONX as proposed in the product instructions. (As against the link does not work well, we must go to the website and unsubscribe EVGA for TCH.)
J0instale Precision X and I change the FAN CURVE, jaugmente the power of 50% at 50ºC fan and I spend at 60% (i increased all of a FAN CURVE 10-15% approximately)
Now neither Idle or full play, the GTX 470 passes no 55ºC, Wonder !!!!! I will put the photos as soon as possible.
