... The wonderful harmony, that is how I would describe "City of Heroes". I do not think the one about the two vocal powers "Michael Kiske" and "Amanda Somerville" have to say much, but their exceptional vocal abilities should now be well known. I think that it could be argued also unheard, that in this respect nothing burns.
Draw for the songwriting "Mat Sinner" and "Magnus Karlsson" responsible, insofar as one can also assume that there will be in the nature in the 12 tracks to audible from the top shelf.
All of these expectations are confirmed after the first few songs, the protagonists have really done a good job and delivered exactly that one might expect. The songs are full of fast-paced tunes, surprising tempo changes, escalating Bridges and choruses are outfitted with their catchy. "Sinner / Karlsson" the songs "Kiske / Somerville" almost perfectly inscribed on his body, this pay back with a perfect vocal line. The two vocal powers harmonize really well together, their voices "play" quasi together that is really to listen very nice.
If you can complain about anything, the "City of Heroes" to perfect sound and have a little more rough edges do not hurt. I find the album at times to smooth and perfect, but that's really wailing on a very high level!
I already liked the debut album of the two and think that they could to "City of Heroes" once again increase - a really great album! There really are a lot of firecrackers at the start, the opener and title track "City of Heroes" is a fast-paced number laid bites immediately in the ear. From this caliber there with "Rising up", "Lights Out", "Open your eyes", "Last Goodbye" and "run with a dream" still a lot of songs on this compact, which ensure that "City of Heroes "a really fast-paced ride was. These songs have really all Power Metal distinguished, and ensure that this album at no time is really boring. There's really a lot of oomph in it, the thing goes off right!
"Walk on water", "Salvation", "Breaking Neptune", and "Right now" are all songs that are located in the mid-tempo range and are characterized by very catchy melodies. These mid-tempo numbers I find the interplay between the voices of "Kiske / Somerville" particularly successful - that harmonizes really great.
Logically, the "City of Heroes" and a ballad to be represented, anything else would be silly and when these two voices almost a scandal. "Ocean of Tears" has become a knotless ballad quite sharply past scars on kitsch, I think that this number is not everyone's taste meet. I like them very much, but I would describe myself as a friend Such "ballad Trashs". A completely different house number is because "After the night is over", a bit faster, but definitely a soulful and balladesque piece that completely without this handle manages the "Schmalztopf".

My conclusion: With their 2nd Output have "Kiske / Somerville" a really strong album laid that everything has what power metal should have - a really great performance!
Who "Helloween", "Avantasia", "Place Vendom" or "Unisonic" is one of his favorites, with this album should have his joy!
