Tyler and Elfman as take over some issues, especially the ingenious' Avengers' theme of Silvestri, before a big plus. Actually, even the 'Captain America' motif of Silvestri used and not that of Henry Jackman from 'was in the film The Winter Soldier', on CD this is not available 'Then there is the' Iron Man 3 'theme, what I also guess because this piece is also a treat. Tyler's theme to 'Thor 2' can be heard in the film as well, but on CD it is somehow not to be heard, which is a shame. In general, the old issues are very briefly to hear. I realize that you want to offer as a composer as much new, but John Williams or Howard Shore have proven it with their masterpieces to 'Star Wars' or 'The Lord Of The Rings' but that you achieve new effects with old material can.
But one can also mention the positive new topics: I really like it that Tyler and Elfman mix the Silvestri main theme with a new main theme. This piece is really great because it sounds also very heroic, but with more seriousness than the piece of Silvestri. Together, the two tracks sound great together, for this purpose I recommend clearly 'Heroes' and 'New Avengers'!
Also Ultron gets an issue, finally a good subject for a villain and not only oriental-inspired sounds like in 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor 2'. The new love theme for Black Widow and the Hulk is, however, very similar to the Love Theme from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' At Worlds End 'and' Birth Of Ultron 'sounds very strongly of' Now You See Me 'by Tyler (2013).
Actually, that sounds all great, right? To finally hear many themes of various superheroes in a soundtrack, so I would have liked the first 'Avengers', but as already mentioned, I can understand that this would have been legally difficult due to the many previous composers. But unfortunately, Tyler and Elfman focus too often on simple action pieces. While these sound good, but in my opinion there Silvestri had a better sense. Some titles sound simple to the same and typical, although I could Tylers 'Iron Man 3' or 'Thor 2' reproach that too, but he has at least more focused on his subjects and they played wonderful! Here, although it is always wonderful when the 'Avengers' mix of Silvestri and Tyler heard, but just in the middle of the music sometimes depends somewhat by.
Since then not hilfts that the pieces are extremely unchronologisch ordered together, on the contrary: The final battle, for example in 'The Battle' can be heard in the center of the CD, is not, I think, mainly because the Finale on the CD is too lax. 'Sacrifice' also belongs to the finals and not in the middle! Here you should arrange the title rather himself, if one has the film well in the head. For compensated again a decent runtime of 77 minutes!
Conclusion: 'Avengers' Age Of Ultron' had perhaps the best Marvel score can be at all with many old and new themes. But unfortunately miss Tyler and Elfman chance skillfully to connect everything together 'The score is still good, just the new' Avengers' theme is great (Tyler can just compose heroic themes!) And fits perfectly with the film! Now I'm curious to see if Tyler will continue or whether a different time may ran when the third 'Avengers' adventure appears. Alexandre Desplat'd love to hear how it would sound to a movie or so Michael Giacchino '
