Who Joe Cocker with his distinctive trademark, the smoky voice, like that will not be disappointed here, but all the songs are, be it classic or new compositions, recorded in his typical style. In part, this sounds a bit bombastic due to the orchestral accompaniment, but overall this is clearly audible and is fun, even if the music might not immediately opens up at the first listening.
For me, this is certainly not his best CD, but it also is not among the worst. In this respect I think that 4 stars are well deserved.
