I use this lens for many years at various NEX models as a standard lens for city panoramas, and it is the only Sony-Zoom, which convinced me in terms of image quality. In the final result I can in the 100% view in Lightroom no major differences to the DSLR zoom from Canon (10-22) and Tokina (12-24) recognize that I have used previously. The 10-18 also comes with complex light situations without manual intervention usually amazingly good deal (I use basically the lens hood) - as opposed to the standard zoom) and provides especially at dusk and at cloudy sky correction freely demanding results. The excellent stability usually allowed to shoot night scenes without a flash (at least in the city) from the hand, so that you almost day and night can easily take pictures with this lens. For me, this is the, in combination 30 / 2.8 Sigma and the 50 / 1.8 the reasonable combination with which you can satisfy even the most demanding minds with the NEX. Although I switched because of the better lenses to Fuji, I use the 10-18 on the NEX 5 traveling still liked because of the unbeatable picture quality / weight ratio.
