Who does not know the 'Sun Bear Concerts', knows the Keith Jarrett 70 not. It's that simple. If the 'Köln Concert' loves, who is enthusiastic about 'Bremen', and is looking for further, should look no further. The first recording, 'Kyoto', is to be the least catchy. In part, Jarrett tried here to free improvisation, which he refrains on the following days. All recordings are unique, 'just as often hear the way' for nothing. The real sensation, however, is that each of these concerts, even though they were recorded only a few days, is completely self-contained, easy eve without repeating themes. A bit of a shame it is, however, that ECM attaches so little background information. The importance of the work, this will not do justice.
