Relatively clear but too dense grammar, vocabulary and texts little suitable for beginners (the parallel school, the feast of dolls girls, windsocks to overcome mast shaped carp ...), this book is not a good book for beginners. The authors propose in Lesson 3 grammar points that are taught at the end of the first year of Japanese license .... If you want to get started in learning this language, I recommend the "Minna no Nihongo" used in many universities and translated into several languages.
