Now, years later, I was looking for a (sound) record and I noticed this this album in my hands. I chose this board Just hang times and give it a chance again. How much I was surprised, I can not reproduce here. Each song was sitting. In front of me turned up images as I drove down a highway with a Ford Mustang and this album ran from the car radio. Earthy, honest rock music. Point. For Those About to Rock is the most underrated album, there are of them. It is ultimately better than the subsequent album Flick of the switch, which is harder and somehow fresh (and only slightly better received was from critics and fans, but for me at that time was far better album).
Why fell For Those About to Rock by then? Both critics and fans, and even with me? Was it that the death of Bon Scott was still too fresh? Was it because of the type of songs that just yet very different to the songs with Bon? Brian Johnson, the eternal new, as he himself noted jokingly, does not sing like Bon Scott. I think this is just as well. Only in this way had AC / DC an opportunity to focus on their core business: making good, honest rock music.
For CD: The board of time has a clean and fantastic sound. That you can not tell from the CD unfortunately. They always say that the CD Californican the Red Hot Chilli Peppers album was an inaudible (Keyword: Loudness War). But I would say that now is For Those About to Rock inaudible CD. In this album quasi the first half record is still quite good, so the first five songs. Overall, the CD sounds a bit shrill as the plate, but still bearable in the first half; but from Evil Walks it's awful. Very clearly is a scrape hear overrotation volume. That is very unfortunate and annoying. I had been looking forward to this album Listen to me me almost everywhere times. Unfortunately that is not possible.
