Access from FireTV on my PlexServer by this app has been a major reason for the order of FireTV. So first thing, downloaded and tried the PlexApp like crazy. Unfortunately, I am now away from this PlexApp and use successfully and completely satisfied XBMC in connection with amber skin and PLEXBMC plugin and PLEXBMC Helper plugin and of course the PlexServer on the NAS .. Why all: unfortunately I did not manage DTS to use by the app, also was in a variety of media (video codecs, containers, audio codecs) server load unnecessarily high (which can Decoding all be done on the FireTV by the PlexApp ), shows how the XBMC has to run. All sound formats (out omen the HD formats) and BluRay video data rates to be decoded using XBMC on the FireTV without significant server load (no conversion, only delivering the streams). By Helper Plugin I can start Movies FireTV even by the PlexApps of iOS from. All I had imagined by the PlexApp. Unfortunately, it has failed in the most important things for me in every respect. Regardless of the remaining (control, display, ...) is good as usual from the other platforms, so even the 3 stars, perhaps is still reworked the FireTV has in any case the possibilities. I would like to point out that I'm a big PlexFan, the server is for me the real thing, the concept of XBMC to do everything from the client is not mine.
