Yes, those were the days
Recently, I came up with the idea now but times to upgrade.
You never know, I thought. Perhaps already the next computer with the 11er version is no longer compatible.
OK, so on True Image 2014 Family Pack upgraded.
Initially I was quite impressed. Everything looked pretty good.
Unfortunately, soon showed first little annoying bugs, instability and occasional crashes, which was not very reassuring, for a software, which is entrusted with important data and system images. But after all, everything seemed to be still in the green zone.
Upon contact for support with regard to the quirks I was put off until the forthcoming version 2015 which I can upgrade free of charge.
(Did that mean the 2014er version is no longer maintained?)
Shortly thereafter, then the upgrade to 2015
Unfortunately, that was a disappointment, however.
I will not repeat here what has already been mentioned in the other reviews about the extremly limited functionality everything. Read it please to there.
Only as a supplement:
The nonstop backup in version 2015 caused in me a lasting, continuous disk access, so was completely unusable.
I am going to downgrade again.
Maybe I give the version 2014 again a chance, but only if I notice that this line of development is being maintained.
Otherwise, I return to my good old Version 11.0, which has proven itself so well.
I wish Acronis would return to this quality again.
At this stage, I can recommend the product version 2015 anyone with a clear conscience.
Later addition:
----------------------------
Of support I have just learned what I had feared:
ATIH 2014 will not maintained. The last build was # 6673rd It will therefore work only on the version of 2015. Extant quirks of the 2014er version are thus now enshrined for eternity. :(
