- The housing is unfortunately a bad design. It consists of 5 "layers" that can rub all to each other and also do so loudly. In particular, the back is not reliably fixed in the battery door, so that plastic rubbing on plastic, which is commented on every keystroke with a creak.
- The surface is reflective, which looks very good against the first touch. After 5 minutes in my hand the whole phone is then but covered with a greasy film, which reverses the enthusiasm about the design the exact opposite. The non-protected by a sliding mechanism camera is soiled after a short time.
- The camera is in opposition to the advertising on the part of Sony Ericsson unable to deliver stunning picture quality. The main problems are frayed edges of photographed objects and a very strong image noise. Only by chance times ends up a considerable photo on the memory card.
Although many of the most important aspects of a cell phone (perceived quality / durability, design, with a camera phone quality of the camera) are missed, there are also positive points:
- The software is already in the early version is fast and stable enough and also very, very nice to look at.
- The concept with the sensor keys is downright awesome. It's just fun, the mobile phone to operate these keys.
- The display is a good size and a very good image quality.
- Automatic image rotation by means of the acceleration sensor is a cool gimmick.
All in all I give the K850i no buy recommendation. Joy I might even not have it. The housing is from material ago just too bad, designed and Geknarze gives the impression of a cheap product. It's just incredibly bad about this great potential from her cell phone.
Thanks to the in some areas again really good quality, I can the K850i but still give 2 stars.
