Installation was simple; Plugging. Plugging. Startup. Done. Is up and going. Initial tests showed a flow rate of an average of 7 Mb / s (
I then same time made the ultimate test and put both adapters in a short strip and put the network cable into a PC were installed in the two Intel CT NICs (with exactly these NICs and a normal Cat-5e cable, I get over SAMBA loose 75-80 Mb or 600-640 Mbit net data transfer per second and the test with "iperf" I reach 950 Mbit scarce).
Although the adapter powerline tool show that they are connected with 1,200 Mbit, this speed is reached nowhere near. Not using "iperf" and certainly not via FTP or Samba. More than 100 Mbit per second, I could not tease out net; Not enough for a NAS appliance, especially since the connection would be limited to the basement at only 40 Mbit.
My conclusion; Suitable for parts of the Internet, as long as you have no more than a 20-40 Mbit connection to the parts. Not suitable for direct NAS connections. Pity!
