After more than 6 months experience with two "MyClouds" numerous discussions with the (model per se) customer service, and many, many hours and days of unsuccessful work, unfortunately I can only advise against the purchase. Although would be the concept of myCloud - with a clear and intuitive interface, easy integration into the network, and relatively unproblematic (albeit slowly) to assess access over the Internet quite positive. Unfortunately, however, turned out at two drives (!) - A 3TB version and a 2TB version I had installed at different locations - as well as in hundreds of other users of MyCloud (see various forums), soon found out that the whole series under serious network problems suffers - the drives go after several hours at the latest days incomprehensible reasons by the network, that is, they are no longer accessible from the router, sometimes even in the middle during extended copy operations (ie not idle status). This is also completely independent of the router model (3 different tried out), and the recommended by Customer Service Factory Reset (even full reset, which takes at least a good 25 2TB version hours) did not bring any solution. The only thing that helps is a separation of the power supply, ie plug out and in again. This makes the myCloud course for their determination as NAS, which should be accessible at any time, of course, completely useless.
According to customer service, the problem is well known, one hopes for improvement in the next firmware update - but that was about the answer before the last update. After half a year of Herumärgerns I can therefore unfortunately say scrap.
