A truly masters-like CD and a very good entry-level work in the music of Tom Waits, who is anything but easily accessible. Basically, it is unique. Also present on the album combines Tom Waits again an infinite number of stylistic devices, which gives this very special music, along with his then highly roughened already by the permanent alcohol and cigarette consumption voice. Tom Waits is certainly one of the best songwriters of all time. As in almost all other CDs are also available on this disc again some songs that are just wonderful and you can not get after the first hearing of the ear, in other words, earwigs. Mention may be made in this case in particular: "Hang down your head", "Time", "Blind Love" and "Downtown Train". For people with a slight tendency to melancholy Tom Waits music is simply indispensable.
