The auto-illuminator gets me no recommendation. The light went on sometimes unintentionally, which can interfere not only but also charged the battery unnecessarily. Function can, however, disable any problems. Lighting of a button is enough for me.
So here my single vote:
+ Relatively small dimensions
+ Radio (so far no reception problems in the nightly synchronization)
+ Even in the dark and bright display
+ Solar - despite the dark winter months the battery charge status has never fallen under 'H' (high)
+ Comfortable to wear materials
A few minor criticisms I have, but which were either known in advance or can be parked and thus lead, in my view no devaluation:
- Auto Illuminator (see above).
- Timer (Countdown) only max. 1 Hour
- Weekday display in English only
- James Bond Watches can still more than my :-)
Unrated: The design is a matter of taste - I like it!
A little tip: If you want to know more, which can be downloaded on the Casio G-Shock website or the manuals and a nice gag all watches being worn (ie the arm with different clothing styles) view.
!!! Update after 9 months !!!
Still very happy. Everything works fine. Although the clock is really not spared, the glass shows no scratches. At the very robust bracelet there are a few inconspicuous scratches, but there is nothing on or demolished. The battery level indicator never indicated anything other than 'H' (high). The reception is highly dependent on location - sometimes at night so there was no synchronization of the clock.
Conclusion: I would buy again at any time this G-Shock!
!!! Update after 4 years !!! (13.01.2014)
Clock was in daily use (!):
- I'm still very satisfied. The indicator for the energy storage has hitherto never fallen under 'H'. However, the auto-illuminator is disabled remain. This saves some power determined
- The clock had never made problems, has never failed.
- The bracelet feels as if it would have been more - perhaps it's just become just a little softer.
- In the area of the closure is the bracelet easy wear. After this time, that is in my view totally OK
- The buttons can be like the first day use. No contact problems.
- The glass is just crystal glass and not sapphire crystal and thus not quite scratch resistant but very robust. Just a couple of scratches.
According to the information of the Casio website the clock was obviously somewhat modified. Meanwhile, it seems that when the timer could be set on a longer period than an hour, namely up to 24 hours. This would account for one of my criticisms.
Stay with my vote. Best clock that I've ever had!
