I bought this camera for my personal use (children) as our previous (different model: LX26, but the same brand) was out of service after years of loyal service. The former was quite reliable and we had no doubt of the outcome. This (at least our model) is not reliable. Not at all. It turns out that we are both doctors in addition to having 4 kids and we have a critical sense when a result seems wrong; well it is renewed very often with this recorder. It is accordingly we totally unnecessary. Please be aware that its shape is much less convenient than the model pistol-shaped and in addition it is supposed to land on a too light plastic base because unballasted at its base and thus holding up badly.
