At the edge, the Fritz box 7490 is relatively unsuitable for lines with great length and high attenuation and brings only a minimum of what is possible from the line and synct unstable ..
First, the VMG1312-B30A was still a long way below the levels of 7490, it was hardly more slowly. Had then experimented with all parameters and only got the crisis.
Then continue looking at the manufacturer's website for a firmware update and only found the one that was already in place and flashed.
Then added with the Zyxel hotline contact. After a few days to several questions I did not get a link to a seemingly (at this time) official firmware update.
And surprise, surprise, now runs the modem as the devil, synct reasonable and gives my "bad" line wing ....
In numbers:
Fritzbox 7490 down about 2300 kbit / s
Zyxel before update down about 1700 kbit / s
Zyxel to update down about 3400 kbit / s
Just a reminder, my line parameters are really more than abysmal.
Even so bad that Telekom would turn more than a DSL-768-line with me and deny is that I would not even reach above values approximately (fortunately I have another provider) ......... ..
The Pampa says hello ..... Welcome digital stone age ....
I would note, however, that this modem offers multiple adjustment and thus the menu is quite extensive.
Means you can connect and just run or just let you take advantage of the "fine adjustment" and various other settings. It just has the choice .....
For this price, I would recommend this VMG1312-B30A hesitation.
