Instead of the promised 95 MB / s (read) and 45MB / s (write) (via e-mail from the support), this card reached unfortunately only:
EXFAT (delivery state)
Reading 66.1 MB / s
Writing 20.8 MB / s
measured with h2testw
(CrystalDiskMark reached higher values of 84/26 MB / s, which have little to do with the real use, since these SW testing only portions of memory and the FW and the cache can be optimized it).
These are indeed write 50% more than in the 20% cheaper SanDisk, for reading but only 25% more, and considerably less than promised.
Tomorrow I test whether it's up to the formatting or the supplied adapter ...
Update 2/21/2015:
At the included adapter, it is not. The new measurement with a Transcend adapter that provides 150 MB / s, performs virtually the same results:
EXFAT (delivered condition) NTFS
Reading 68.1 MB / s 70.4 MB / s
Writing 21.0 MB / s 21.0 MB / s
measured with h2testw
Conclusion: Lexar exaggerates when the speed information, SanDisk makes honest information.
Oh, an afterword for skeptics: The test hardware used so far achieved with the fastest measured USB3 device 240MB / s read and 200MB / s write.
Update 3/17/2015:
I have the map now once exchanged via Amazon and the Exchange submitted a second time directly from Crucial (Lexar) in UK by RMA.
Unfortunately both parts reach only the exact same rates as above.
In my mind, unfortunately, solidified the image that Crucial (Lexar) shamelessly exaggerating with the performance specifications and thus the significant extra cost compared to SanDisk is also not justified.
IMPORTANT: performance test of the third pattern shows that heats up the card to a surface temperature of 64 ° C. The manufacturer told me today, although by someone with that operating temperatures are allowed up to 85 ° C. I'm skeptical, however, as other manufacturers pull significantly lower limits between 40 ° C and 60 ° C. Fortunately Crucial are but "lifetime" guarantee. Let's see what that's worth. A disadvantage of the guarantee of Crucial but I know already from the RMA Exchanges: The expense of sending by registered mail to London you have to bear themselves. Other delivery forms not accepted Crucial.
