When I recently the 650 Adapter Starter Kit saw as the flash deal on Amazon, although I had no great hope that the performance could improve on my "problem-track" it, but decided to try it at least once. (In the worst case I have the 650er kit just returned.) So ordered and replaced the two 500-adapter on the ground floor and the 1st floor to the 650s. And what can I say: In Your Face! It was immediately perceive a significant increase in performance. After several days of operation, the rate has leveled off, according to the cockpit in both directions at about 260 Mbit / s. The - much more meaningful - File Transfer test now gives me approximately 7.5 MB / s in one direction (to which I previously only about 4.5 MB / s had) and 8.5 MB / s in the other direction. The breaks certainly still no records, but represents an improvement of around 70% and ranges now also for smooth streaming HD video! My second NAS is reabsorbed back into the 1st floor.
The cooperation of the 650s adapter with the other existing 500 adapters works as expected also flawless. Also on these routes, the performance is increased by at least 50%, according to the cockpit, which is me but irrelevant.
For me, the upgrade has certainly paid off fully. The 650 adapter appear to be specialists in unfavorable current cabling, and all I can to anyone who also has such a "problem-route" in his home recommend to give 650 adapters times a chance.
