I had at my previous DSLR (Canon 60D) already has a battery grip and knew right away that I wanted to have such a return to the 6D. On the 60D, I had initially a replica BG which fit at least good. When I was then come to an original low BG, I was able to make up some benefits. The original Canon battery grip had virtually no odor, a replica but smelled strongly of rubber. The fit was perfect and the tactile feedback of the buttons was like with those who are attached to the camera.
Long story short: In the 6D I wanted to make any compromises and did the same to me ordered the original BG-E13 after publication. What can I say, the BG Fits perfectly and feels like the camera. The price is indeed considerably higher than the replicas - the resale price it is experience, as well.
The benefits of the battery grip I have to explain not long: Vertical shutter - better handling - Two batteries or regular batteries
I can be a useful extension to 6D recommend this BG.
